In match play the player (or, if more than one player, the team) taking the fewest strokes to sink the ball into any particular hole called holing out is the winner of the hole; the contest (match) is won by the player or team winning the most holes. Golf Signs
A standard set of 14 golf clubs (the maximum that may be carried in tournament play) is divided into two main types: Woods and irons. Woods were solid pieces of persimmon or laminated maple. In the 1990's technology allowed metal woods to have thinner faces, thus increasing their overall size. Some of my favourites are outlined below. The spin on the ball creates lift, which increases theheight reached and increases the time of flight so that theball travels further. Irons are present in the greatest variety, from the low-numbered clubs designed to hit a ball nearly as far as a wood, to the high-numbered irons and wedges designed to send the ball a short distance in a high, arcing trajectory. 2 Wood is often used, and for shorter, higher shots the higher-numbered woods are employed. When it comes to choosing golf bags i have always gone for a good looking, comfortable and lightweight golf bag that is easy to carry. Use headcovers for all your clubs, not just your driver. Club designers must cope with the same issues in irons as in woods, but their shorter shafts and the less exaggerated swings with which they are used have led to different solutions for different types of players.
